Note for chain gang riders, the slowest group shouldn’t be above 20mph. If you are able to ride faster than 20mph, please step up to the next group so there is always a group riding below 20mph for first timers. Fastest group is 25mph, groups in-between will be 22-24mph. 6:30PM TURBO TRAINING WITH TRI TEAM WIGAN: Turbo training and brick session with TTW, the venue is Thompson House Stables, on Pepper Lane, Standish. 8:30AM SATURDAY MORNING TRAIL RUNNING CLUB: There are 3 groups on Saturday morning. AP will be leading a novice group (6-8 miles) each week and there will be 2 other groups running 10-13  miles. The format will be 4-6 weeks from The Endurance Store at 08:30am and then every 4-6th week will be APAD week (Al Power Away Day).

4:00PM SWIM SESSION HINDLEY: Both Seniors and junior swimmers, Hindley pool in Wigan, WN2 3QN. Organised by Tri Team Wigan. Arrive 3:45pm for 4:00pm start.

Sunday:

08:00AM WINTER DUATHLON RACE 2: The route is Parbold Duathlon bike course (17 miles) followed by 5k run which is out and back on road. All are welcome, entry is free. If you prefer to do 2 laps on the bike, that’s an option! Please visit the Facebook event page and click the GOING button if you are intending to join us.

Week 118, Week Commencing 28/12/15

Monday:

10AM RUNNING INTERVALS WITH WIGAN PHOENIX: Wigan Phoenix are a local running club who cater for ALL ABILITY LEVELS. On Monday evenings, they have an interval session, meet 6:00pm at Britannia Hotel, Shevington. You will need a head torch as current session is hill repetitions on trail.

The Wigan Phoenix run session now incorporates a junior run session working in conjunction with Tri Team Wigan. If you have youngsters who would like to join the session, bring them along, you can run with the adults! For more info regarding the junior session, speak to Ste Hilton: stephenhilton@sky.com

Wednesday:

PIMBO WINTER CYCLE CHAIN GANG: ON THIS WEEK – Meet 6:45 for 7:00pm start at South end of Peel Rd on Pimbo industrial estate, opposite Scott Safety. There will be 5-6 groups depending on numbers, this is not a coached session, everyone in the group is collectively responsible. Note for chain gang riders, the slowest group shouldn’t be above 20mph. If you are able to ride faster than 20mph, please step up to the next group so there is always a group riding below 20mph for first timers. Fastest group is 25mph, groups in-between will be 22-24mph. Good quality bike lights and cycle helmet are compulsory for this session. Remember, this is not a coached / organised session, all riders are responsible for themselves and others and ride at their own risk.

There will be 2 groups split by ability, based on numbers who turn up. There will be a new year coffee stop, don’t get used to it though.
