Week 290, Week Commencing 22/4/19

Sunday saw the Clitheroe Triathlon take place in very warm conditions, over a challenging course which includes the infamous Birdy Brow on the bike. All of the NW clubs were strongly represented and there was some super racing at the top end.

In the ladies race, Erica Booth from Horwich continued her winning ways to set a new Clitheroe BB 3 Googcourse record for the ladies. She was followed by Fiona Blagg (Man Tri) and Jessica Bosley (Derby Tri) to complte the podium.

In the men’s race, Dan McPartland of Preston Tri was the dominant force, almost 3 minutes clear of his closest rival Tim Fletcher (Man Tri), with Mark Chadwick (Wigan Tri) completing the podium.

This Sunday there’s plenty of racing, with Sprint Triathlon events at Southport, Saddleworth and Kendal. Have a great week of training and if you’re racing Sunday, have a great day!
